The 16th regular meeting of the EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Association Committee (PAC) was held in Kyiv on 7 March 2025, co-chaired by Vadym Halaichuk on behalf of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and Pekka Toveri on behalf of the European Parliament.
Members held exchanges with representatives of the Ukrainian government, the European Commission, the European External Action Service and civil society about the continued support to Ukraine in response to Russia's war of aggression. The exchanges focused in particular on addressing joint security challenges in the wake of a rapidly shifting international geopolitical environment and steps towards just, comprehensive and lasting peace. Participants also discussed Ukraine's ambitious reform agenda and expressed firm support for pursuing and accelerating EU accession negotiations with the opening of negotiating clusters.
The Parliamentary Association Committee voiced their determination to boost the interparliamentary dimension of Ukraine's accession process, in support of legal alignment with the EU acquis and Ukriane's reform agenda.
At the meeting a Joint Statement and Recommendations was adopted by the PAC members.
