General documents - European Parliament resolution of 11 February 2021 on the implementation of the EU Association Agreement with Ukraine - Delegation to the EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Association Committee

The resolution was adopted with 526 votes in favour, 79 against and 71 abstentions.

On 11 February 2021, the European Parliament adopted a key resolution on the implementation of the Association Agreement (AA) with a strong emphasis on the ongoing reform process and anti-corruption measures.

The resolution:

- highlights that the Association Agreement (AA)/ Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) is of paramount importance and reflects the ambitious EU-Ukraine political and economic integration efforts;

- acknowledges the importance of pro-democratic reforms implemented so far in Ukraine, and highlights the need for more sustained efforts towards upgraded and reporting mechanism namely in the field of justice, energy, anti-corruption, corporate governance, etc.;

- reiterates the EU's support and commitment to Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders;
